What is the Best Age to Start the Abacus Educational Program?
Most children start this program between the ages of 7 to 12. The very best age to begin is as early as age 7. However, our system strongly encourages students’ upto age 12 to enroll but we advise parents to make a commitment to monitor their progress
What is Brain Exercise / Brain Gym?
These types of training are very special forms of brain energizing exercises to help prepare students to learn. Our research has shown that such mental activities enhance children’s confidence and self-esteem to perform much better in all their daily assignments. My child is good at Maths. How will he/she benefit by joining ESMAT?
Abacus being a calculative tool is used to perform basic arithmetic operations. Systematic learning of abacus helps children not only do sums faster but also makes them improve in their skills like Concentration, Visual Memory and Listening skills. These skills in turn help to improve their overall confidence, which is a must in today’s world. While your child may be good at Math - however the above skills are essential for children.
My child is not good at Maths. What improvement can we expect from ESMAT?
In Abacus, numbers are seen in bead picture and not in abstract form. This makes it easier and interesting for kids to learn basic arithmetic operations like Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and division through abacus. It also removes the fear for numbers and makes them attempt any Maths problem more confidently. In addition your child will develop concentration, visual memory and better listening skills. Hence you can see significant improvement in your child after the Foundation level.

Speed writing is another form of exercise used in our Smart Intellectual Program to help students develop peripheral vision to see at a wider angle. It helps to capture information by visually recognizing and retaining meaning of clusters of words rather than individual words. In this way, the young learner develops writing and reading speed that are deemed so essential for all further academic as well as personal pursuits.
